Information about the network connection of Network File Storage (2nd Gen)

When Network File Storage (2nd Gen) volumes are created, they are assigned a public IP address, which is used to access them.

Since Network File Storage (2nd Gen) volumes are located in protected network zones, access to the volumes is only possible via predefined IP addresses that are listed on an allowlist.

Please ensure the IP addresses listed there meet the following criteria:

  • Individual IP addresses without a subnet mask (e.g., 128.65.210.80)
  • Addresses for entire networks in CIDR notation (e.g., 10.10.10.0/24)
    • Please note that networks ranging in size from /8 to /32 are supported
    • Individual IP addresses can also be specified by using a /32 subnet mask (e.g., 128.65.210.80/32)
  • IP addresses that are neither individual addresses nor network addresses cannot be used.
  • IPv6 addresses cannot be used at this time.

In addition to the IP addresses specified during the initial deployment, additional addresses can be added as needed, or addresses that are no longer required can be removed.
